WaterSavers® Program Recognizes Environmentally Responsible Car Washes

November 1, 2022

2 minute Read
Woodie’s Wash Shack is a member of WaterSavers – the car wash industry’s premier recognition program focused on educating the community about the environmental benefits and responsible business practices of professional car washing.

As a WaterSavers member, Woodie’s Wash Shack fulfills the criteria established by the International Carwash Association® which requires that car washes use a specific amount of fresh water per wash, reclaim or recycle its treated water for future wash cycles and discharge effluent water to a sanitary location. Each car wash location is also required to verify that they meet these requirements and maintain verification records on each car wash site and have their site(s) assessed annually.

As opposed to washing cars in parking lots or driveways, we at Woodie’s Wash Shack make sure that our waste water is treated before being put back in the environment. Storm drains which route to our local rivers, lakes, and streams are no place for detergents and chemicals.

“We are really excited to be a member of the WaterSavers program,” said Donald Phillips, Managing Director of Woodie’s Wash Shack. “WaterSavers is an outlet for us to educate our customers and communities that we conserve water and are doing our part to help protect the environment.”

Environmental responsibility is important to Woodie’s Wash Shack and participating in the WaterSavers program shows their commitment to being an environmental conservation leader in the professional car wash industry. And visiting Woodie’s Wash Shack shows your commitment to doing your part to help protect our environment.
