Hamilton Engineering acquires Huron Valley Sales

October 1, 2014

1 minute Read
Doug Deal, owner of Huron Valley Sales (HVS), has initiated a sale of the day-to-day business operations of HVS to Jeff Deal, his brother and former Huron Valley Sales employee in the late 1970’s. Jeff has owned and operated Hamilton Engineering since 1981.

HVS and Hamilton partnered to bring high efficiency water heaters and boilers to the industry over 10 years ago.

All non-management employees from HVS will make the move to the 76,000 sq. ft. Hamilton Engineering manufacturing facility in Livonia, MI, where HVS will operate as a division of Hamilton. It is intended that the transaction will allow for a higher level of customer service, and greater sales activities and long term growth, while maintaining family continuity and an intricate understanding of the water heating, distribution, and treatment needs of the vehicle washing industry.

Herman Deal, founder of HVS, began serving the Car Wash industry in 1964 and will continue to be an integral part of the HVS/Hamilton operation.

Hamilton Engineering serves the Commercial Laundry and specialty hot water markets (through distributors) throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and Central and South America. Hamilton has provided 24/7 technical support to its customers since its inception in 1981, and HVS clients will be afforded this same benefit as part of the integration with Hamilton Engineering.

It is anticipated that this move and integration will be complete prior to the end of 2014.
